Firefighters and Paramedics Endorse Cole Peacock

(Fort Myers, Fla. – July 23, 2010) – Local businessman Cole Peacock has been endorsed by the Southwest Florida Professional Firefighters and Paramedics. Peacock, owner of R C Peacock Consulting LLC, is running as a Democrat for the State Representative District 73 seat.
“Cole has pledged his support to public safety,” said Walt Stevens, president, International Association of Fire Firefighters, Local 1826. “He has also pledged his support to the professionals who put there lives on the line on a daily basis. Cole’s strong value to keep the constituents of the District 73 and the State of Florida safe, brings to light his dedication to the core service of an elected official.”

Peacock is running for a seat in the same House district where he worked as a legislative aide in his first job after graduating from college.
“Not only did I learn the legislative process working in a Representatives office, but I will now be able to bring the experience of working for leading Florida businesses like Chico’s and Hope Health Care, as well as groups including the Florida Chamber of Commerce and the Florida Retail Federation.”
Peacock said the focus of his pro-business campaign is about finding ways to re-think, re-invent and re-vitalize the economy in our communities.
Peacock has over 12 years executive level experience in corporate, agriculture and manufacturing industries and 14 years of governmental experience. He has worked on campaigns on the federal, state, and local levels; including governor, senate, state representative, and mayor. Peacock has been an active voice in educating local residents in matters affecting them on behalf of the Florida Chamber of Commerce, through local chamber functions and legislative roundtables, and by moderating five years worth of local political debates.
Peacock is a member of the 2008/2009 Leadership Florida Class, the Florida and Greater Ft. Myers Chambers, past Executive Board for the Florida Retail Federation, Treasurer for the Foundation for Lee County Public Schools and also serves on a number of non-profit Boards including serving as Chair of the Boys and Girls Club – Be Great Campaign, Chair of the American Red Cross of Lee County and Vice Chairman of the Edison Ford Winter Estates.
