✓ Re-Think - the way Florida operates. We need to maximize our tax dollars rather than wasting them on often out-modeled or reactive bureaucratic and partisan battles. We need to be committed to giving State contracts to Florida based companies that are employing our friends and neighbors. Floridians need to know where and how their money is being spent in areas such as transportation, unemployment, & education.
✓ Re-Invent - the Legislative process to run like a business we need to streamline the government and its spending. If the State is a business then you the tax payers are the “shareholders” and we would see “dividends “ in the form of a balanced budget, updated infrastructure, and money for education, law enforcement, & first responders. Not in the hands of the party leaders and special interest groups.
- Lawmakers must evaluate the cost and benefit of legislation before passing a bill that does not benefit Florida.
- Statewide strategic plan: The State of Florida does not have a strategic plan or developed economic drivers to gauge how our state is running. No markers for success or failure.
No No No is not a plan for our future, only a sound bite answer. How about making the first part of the Florida Strategic plan be Re-Vitalize our small businesses that employ 4 out 5 workers in our state. Florida needs to support Florida and not ship jobs or contracts out of our state.
✓ Re-Vitalize - our communities and heritage. Support and properly fund Education to help create Jobs and start promoting local business and industry – be it green, biotech, or manufacturing. Focus on making Florida and Lee County businesses a top priority, while bolstering human services, tourism, construction, and agriculture that is rich to our heritage. We can once again put our State in a top 100 spot for all the right reasons.
